Former President John Dramani Mahama has once again said that God made him lose the election for Ghanaians to know how bad the country will be under the New Patriotic Party.
During his second tour of the Ashanti Region, the former president told the people of Offinso South that God wanted Ghanaians to learn something that is why he brought the NPP government to power.
‘When you look into the bible, sometimes when God puts a good person in power and the people start to worry God about their leader, he removes the person the bring someone for the people to know how good the other person was,’ Mahama said.
Mahama went one to say that the NPP used ‘sweet words to lure the people’ to vote for them.
The former President first made this comment during his tour of the Central Region when he first launched his campaign. He was criticized by some Ghanaians including those in his own party for blaming God for his defeat instead of accepting that he did not perform well while in office.
Mahama told the people of Offinso South to vote for him in the 2020 election so that they [NDC] can win power again.
