The Post understands that the Government of Ghana sponsored Kotoko during the club’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
According to the report, the government paid for the plane tickets for their travels and also help them pay for their hotel bills.
Kotoko got eliminated after failing to beat Zesco United in their last match in Zambia.
During the competition, Kotoko played five away games with trips to Kenya, Zambia, Cameroon and Sudan.
The Porcupine Warriors are hoping to win the Normalisation Special Competition to enable them to play in Africa again. This time around, their target is to compete in the CAF Champions League where they are two times champions and have also been to the finals a number of times.
