The government of Ghana has indicated it will absorb the fees of post graduate doctors. This is in line with the NPP’s campaign promise of not letting doctors pay tuition fees during their post graduate program.
This policy which was first started during the former President Kuffour’s administration was abandoned due to the high cost of sponsoring the program.

Now, the Nana Addo-led administration has indicated it will start the program again to help support doctors in their post graduate studies.

The aim of this policy is to help get more specialist at least at every hospital in the country.
