It has been revealed the government of Ghana did not give Aduana Stars FC money as it was earlier believed.
There were reports that the government gave the Premier League champions money to help them prepare for their game against DR Congo’s AS Vital in the CAF Confederation Cup.
However, it has been revealed that the government paid the bill of the CAF inspection team when they came to Ghana to inspect Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa. This included their hotel and transportation bill.
Teams parting in CAF tournaments are to take the bills of CAF’s team when they are in your country but due to the financial difficulties Ghanaian clubs are facing, the government paid those bills for the club.
Some time ago, the government assisted Ghanaian clubs competing in Africa but now the clubs finance themselves and it has made it difficult for clubs to compete in CAF club tournaments.
