Government to sponsor Ghanaian clubs in CAF competitions

The government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, will from next season assist Ghanaian clubs that will make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup.

The clubs will be given US$200, 000 and US$ 100, 000 if they make it to the group stage of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup respectively.

The move, the government believes will cushion the clubs to bring honour to the country.
