Eight out of the nine match day five games were played over the weekend.
The match of the week on match day 5 was the game between Berekum Chelsea and Ashanti Gold which was played on Saturday. While many people were expecting Ash Gold to carry the day, Berekum Chelsea pulled a surprised and won the game by a lone goal. Now they have beaten all the top three contenders for the league title at their backyard.
With five matches played, Ebusua Dwarfs has shown they cannot stop losing and we do not know if they are ever going to stop losing.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko we far ahead of Dwarfs when they played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Anim Cudjoe and Richard Arthur gave the Porcupine Warriors their third victory.
Accra Hearts of Oak also seem to have found their winning way after losing their first two games. They beat Liberty Professionals 2-1 at Liberty’s home ground after going down in the first minute.
