Ghana defender Harrison Afful is set to make a return to the Black Stars for the World Cup playoff against Nigeria next month, according to reports.
The former Columbus Crew right back has been out of the national team for the past three years and is expected to make the squad.
According to sources, Otto Addo will count on the experience of the former Esperance defender in the crucial game against Nigeria.
Andy Yiadom who currently plays in that position hasn’t been convincing and is likely to get competition from the experience defender.
The 35-year-old currently play for MLS side Charlotte FC.
Ghana is hoping to bypass Nigeria to the World Cup which will be staged in Qatar in November this year.
The Black Stars host The Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25 before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on March 29, 2022.
