Techiman Eleven Wonders defender, Kwadwo Amoako, according to reports is on his way to join Kotoko’s regional rivals, Obuasi Ashanti Gold.
After it was reported that Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been monitoring player, Amoako, after their game against Kotoko in Kumasi told the media that they have started negotiations and it is going on smoothly.
“I’m in talks with Kotoko for a possible move and personally Dr Kwame Kyei has been talking to me everyday so we are all praying that both teams will come to an agreement for me to join Kotoko,” he told Ash FM Sports.
“Kotoko is a big team and every player would wish to play for so I will be very happy to join them after a successful agreement between the two clubs.
“Naturally,I’m a midfielder but as a player you should be able to play at any position you are asked to play so I’m comfortable with my new position (right back) now,” he said in an interview on Ashh FM.
However, The Post understands Ashanti Gold has managed to convince the player his future lies with them.
The price tag on the player is around GHC 100, 000 and Ash Gold is willing to pay the money and according to the report reaching The Post, unless Kotoko pulls up a trick, Amoako will certainly join Ash Gold.
Apart from that, the fans of Eleven Wonders have also warned their management not to sell the player to Kotoko because they have an unresolved issue with Kotoko striker,
Abdul Fatawu Safiu. According to the fans, Fatawu owes them, therefore, until he pays them, Amoako should not be sold to Kotoko.
