Accra Hearts of Oak has filed a protest against referee Joseph Kennedy Padi for awarding a ‘controversial penalty’ to Asante Kotoko in their 1-0 lose to Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Kotoko was awarded the penalty in the 17th minute after Fabio Gama was brought down in the penalty box and it was scored by Franck Thierry Mbella Etouga.

The penalty, according to the Hearts of Oak and some football fans, was a soft foul on Gama which should not have been awarded as a penalty.
