Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdourahamane Mamane Lawale has been offered a new $300-a-month deal when his contract expires in December, Adehye FM reports.
The Nigerien, according to the report, receives $1,200 a month, however, since he has been injured for the past two years, the club has offered him a new deal by reducing his salary by $900.
Lawale was sent to South Africa to undergo his surgery 10 months after sustaining the injury.
“I thank everyone for your prayers and best wishes. The support has been massive, especially what I have enjoyed from the Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV,” Lawali is quoted by Hearts’ Twitter account.
Last year, he was paid $10,000 by Hearts after he and his agent reported the club to FIFA for failing to pay his outstanding signing-on fee.
