While Accra Hearts of Oak is reportedly struggling to renew the contract of their forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Oyerepa FM sports show host, Sometymer has revealed that the club pay him GH₵700 a month as salary.
During discussions on how Hearts of Oak is struggling to renew Barnieh’s contract, the much-loved sports journalist said he got a call from someone who knows about the talks between Hearts and Barnieh and the person revealed to him that Hearts “pay him GH₵700” [a month].
With his contract ending next month, Hearts has been trying for months to renew the contract of the U20 AFCON winner but it has become more difficult as he is currently in Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Also, with the offers he has been receiving, it is unlikely that Hearts would be able to match the salary the other clubs are offering him.
Last year, Benjamin Afutu left Hearts as a free agent after negotiations broke down due to salary issues.
