Hughton names Black Stars 23-man squad for AFCON 2023

The coach of the Blacks Stars, Chris Hughton has named the final 23-man squad for the AFCON 2023 in the Ivory Coast.

The squad is made up of three goalkeepers, nine defenders, eight midfielders, four wingers and three strikers.

Thomas Partey and Tariq Lamptey did not make the list due to an injury while Fatawu Issahaku, per reports, told the technical team of the Black Stars that he wants to focus on his club career. Also, Asante Kotoko midfielder, Richmond Lamptey has been given his first call-up to the national.
