Akwasi Abu, the NPP Chairman for Manso Adubea has debunked reports that he had been stopped from indulging in galamsey.
The Chronicle reported that Chiefs in Manso Adubea prevented him from the activity.
He blamed the reports on the bad political practices in the country.
The chairman said they are rather planting trees at Aboaboso with 300 people involved.
According to him, he has been given the mandate to do land reclamation and it is not even at Manso Adubea.
He also stated that he was told someone came to the area saying he had been asked to reclaim a land in the area but they sent him away.
‘I have not even seen the land they said I am doing illegal mining on,’ he said.
‘No one talks about the good things I have for the area,’ he added.
Akwasi Abu, who is also a miner praised Nana Addo for the steps he is taking to stop galamsey as it is the right step to help protect the environment.
