I did not assault Yaw Obimpeh but I have apologised for what happened – Ivan Bilson

Ivan Bilson, a member of the NDC has debunked newspaper reports that he attacked the NDC Chairman, Mr. Owusu Obimpeh.

Ivan told Kessben FM in Kumasi that he did not attack Mr. Obimpeh although there was some misunderstanding between the two.

He called Mr. Obimpeh ‘his father’ and indicated that he has apologized to him and the leaders of the party.

‘Morally it is not right to stretch your hand on your father and with the kind of upbringing I was given I will never do that’, he stated.

According to reports, Ivan attacked the NDC Chairman during the party’s branch election at Oforikrom in Kumasi.

Though there were reports he ‘pounced’ on Mr. Obimpeh, he stated clearly that the newspaper report was not ‘accurate’.
