Accra Great Olympics board Chairman His Excellency Amarkai Amarteifio says he has blessed Gladson Awako ahead of his imminent move to rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
According to the board chairman, he had had a crunch and decisive meeting with the player at his residence in EAST LEGON in Accra this morning.
Speaking to Oyerepa FM in Kumasi, the Great Olympics Board Chairman confirmed Awako’s move to the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League Champions.
‘’Yes I have met him, I blessed him and I wish Hearts of Oak well in their campaign” Amarkai Amartefio told Oyerepa FM.
The 30-year-old 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winner is set to sign a two-year contract with the Rainbow Boys ahead of the 2021-22 season in Ghana and in the Africa Inter-club competition.
Due to Awako’s performance in the Ghana Premier League, he was called up by Ghana coach CK Akonnor for the AFCON qualifiers games against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
