The Deputy Regional Ashanti Minister, Elizabeth Agyemang popularly called People’s Mother last week after witnessing the loss of DCE nominee told the Assembly Members they have disgraced her.
Adu-Poku Christine, popularly called APC, was nominated for the position of DCE for newly created Afigya-Kwabre South District.
However, APC got 19 votes out of 35, meaning he did not get the required votes for him to be elected as the MP.
Elizabeth Agyemang after the voting made her feelings clear to the Assembly Members saying she is hurt by what they have done.
“You told me you will vote for him”, she said.
“I have never been disgraced like this before”.
“You should have told me you had a problem with the nominee”.
She said had she been told about it, she would have talked to them and solve the problem.
Also, she believes they have not respected the decision of the President to nominate APC.
Elizabeth Agyemang was so hurt she told the Assembly members she will not be there again and that she will send her report.
The Assembly Members will have to vote again for a new DCE.
