The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi “Chairman Wontumi” has revealed he once pulled a gun on Anas.
Wontumi made the revelation on Pure FM in Kumasi when he was interviewed and asked about Anas’ undercover work on illegal mining.
According to him, Anas was trying to extort him so he pulled a gun on him.
“His police friends who are also my friends begged for him,” he told Kwame Adinkra, host of Pure FM’s morning show.
Wontumi said Anas Amereyaw Anas’ documentary is intended to cover up the death of his friend, Ahmed Hussein Suale.
“Anas is a criminal and murderer,” he added.
Wontumi criticized Anas’ modus operandi and said its “unfair” as the law is against it.
“Who is Anas?”
“Dirty guy like this?”
He further called on Ghanaians to condemn how Anas does his work as his style of work is not acceptable.
“This guy is a liar.”
“If he is an investigative journalist then who killed Ahmed,” he asked.
