Nollywood actress Iniobong Edo recently spoke candidly about her feelings of regret regarding her failed marriage during an interview with popular media personality Chude Jideonwo. She admitted that she had reservations about getting married in the first place.
Iniobong Edo tied the knot with American-based businessman Philip Ehiagwina on November 29, 2008. However, their marriage only lasted five years, and they divorced in 2013.
During the interview, Iniobong Edo disclosed that she felt pressured into the marriage by her family and now realizes that it was not the right decision for her.
She stated, “I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn’t the right move for me.”
In 2021, the actress became a mother through surrogacy. She shared that she opted for this path due to experiencing multiple miscarriages.
“I chose surrogacy because I had experienced several miscarriages. I reached a point where I became tired of trying to conceive naturally,” she explained.
Iniobong Edo further revealed that she pursued surrogacy despite not having a husband because she desired to have a child of her own. She emphasized that using her own eggs was important to her, and she was grateful that her eggs were viable.
The actress’s openness about her regrets and choices shed light on her personal journey and the challenges she has faced in her pursuit of motherhood and happiness.
