NDC’s Joseph Yamin has said he wants his name to be cleared from those suspected of being behind the shooting at the party’s Ashanti Regional office on Monday.
The shooting which took the life of a Wissiu Iddrisu, a party member also left another seriously injured.
Yamin, after he was questioned by the police yesterday told the media he wants his name to be cleared and also stated that he is surprised his name has been dragged into the matter.
“My surprise is why my name will be brought into this matter… I’m surprised somebody came in here to report. We are here to know the person and the reason,” Yamin said.
“I want my name cleared,” he added.
The government, former president Mahama and members of the NDC have all condemned the incident.
