Regina Nuamah, the proud mother of Ghanaian youth star Ernest Nuamah, expresses her firm belief that her son possesses the qualities to surpass the achievements of Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer, Asamoah Gyan.
At just 19 years old, Nuamah has been making waves for Danish club Nordsjaelland in 2023. With an impressive record of nine goals and four assists in 29 appearances, he was recently honored as the Best Player of the Spring in the 2023 Superligaen.
During FC Nordsjaelland’s training session on June 1st, Nuamah received the prestigious award, further solidifying his reputation as a rising talent. His exceptional performances have also earned him his maiden call-up to the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in June.
Regina Nuamah shares her aspirations for her son, stating, “Considering the way Ghanaians have always praised Asamoah Gyan, I want my son to surpass his achievements. With God’s guidance, I firmly believe he will accomplish great things to benefit Ghana.” She expressed her faith in her son’s abilities and urged Ghanaians to support him with their prayers. “I always remind my son that with God’s grace, he can surpass his previous accomplishments. I encourage Ghanaians to pray for him to reach new heights. Based on his past achievements, he will not disappoint the people of Ghana,” she added.
Ernest Nuamah commenced his football journey at the renowned Right to Dream Academy before joining FC Nordsjaelland in January 2022. Making his debut on April 10, 2022, he came on as a substitute in the 67th minute and scored a crucial 84th-minute goal in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Aarhus. Nuamah’s outstanding performance earned him the title of the team’s man of the match.
