I wanted to tell Asamoah Gyan to stop going to the AFCON – Prophet One

Rev. Ebenezer Adarkwa “Prophet One” Yiadom has revealed he wanted to stop Asamoah Gyan from going to the African Cup of Nations.

Prophet One, who before the tournament said Ghana will have the worst campaign at the tournament said he tried to contact the former Black Stars captain and tell him not to go because there is no way the campaign was going to successful.

According to him, he tried to contract him through people including his brother, Baffour Gyan, however, he could not meet him as Asamoah Gyan told him he will not get the time to meet him.

Also, he stated that he wanted to tell him something about his spiritual life. But because the former Sunderland striker could not get the time, he told him to go and come to him when he returns from the tournament.

Before the tournament, some men of God told Kwesi Appiah, the Black Stars coach to make Dede Ayew the captain as he has the luck to lead the team.

Even with Ayew as the captain of the national team, Ghana got eliminated by Tunisia in the round of 16 stage after losing the penalty shootout.
