Iceland’s goalkeeper, Hannes Halldorsson has signed a 2-year contract with Azerbaijan club Qarabag FC.
The goalkeeper is well known for saving Lionel Messi’s penalty at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

He joins his new club from Danish side Randers FC. The 34-year old is also a part-time filmmaker in his home country.

He has also played for Eredivisie club NEC, Norwegian club Sandnes Ulf as well as other clubs in his home country.
He will wear the number 1 jersey.
