The Inspector General of Police, COP David Asante Apeatu this afternoon held a closed-door meeting with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu at the Manhyia Palace.
The IGP went to Manhyia Palace with Communications Minister, Mustapha Hamid, Minister for Inner-City and Zongo Development, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Boniface was led to the Manhyia Palace by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah.
Although they did not say anything to the media after the meeting, it is believed they discussed the recent disturbances in some Zongo communities resulting from the killing of some men suspected to be armed robbers.
The IGP and the Ministers went to Asawase when they left Manhyia Palace to meet the families of those who died in the shoot out between the police and those suspected to be armed robbers.
