The world’s richest man according to Forbes, Elon Musk has set the football world on fire after tweeting that he is buying the English club, Manchester United.
The United fans have been calling on the club’s owners, the Glazer Family to sell the club but they have turned a deaf ear to their request.
It is not clear if the South African-Canadian-American businessman is serious about buying the club because before he made the tweet, he first made a tweet that was about politics.
The 20-times English champions are currently lying at the bottom of the English Premier League after losing 2-1 and 4-0 to Brighton and Hove Albion and Brentford FC respectively.
Malcolm Glazer became the owner of United after gradually buying shares from 2003 to 2005. After his death in 2014, his family took over his businesses including Manchester United.
