Former Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Christopher Hughton, according to reports, is being considered for the Ghana national team job.
Chris, who was born in England to a Ghanaian father and an Irish mother played for the Republic of Ireland at the national team level and played for Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Brentford at the club level.
He has coached Newcastle, Birmingham City, Norwich City, Brighton and Hove Albion and has been the assistant coach of Ireland and also the caretaker coach of Tottenham.
Former Black Stars captain, C.K Akonnor is currently the interim coach of the Ghana national team and reports in the media indicates he is in pole position to be given the job.
According to reports, some stakeholders believe Akonnor is not ready for the job as he has a poor record when it comes to his relationship with his players.
Should the negotiations go through, the 61-year old Ghanaian-Irish man will replace Kwesi Appiah as the coach of the Black Stars.
