Isaac Oppong who is among the players Asante Kotoko released this week has been linked with a move to FC Petrocub Hîncești in Moldova.
Nicknamed Neymar, Oppong, 21, was instrumental in Kotoko winning the league title two seasons ago with his exceptional performances.
However, the youngster had several injuries which limited his time on the pitch for the Porcupine Warriors.
According to reports, Oppong is set to link up with his former boss, Nana Yaw Amponsah who signed him for Kotoko and who is currently the President of the Eastern European club.
Former Kotoko goalkeeper, Razak Abalora and Real Tamale United attacker David Abagna are all currently playing for the Moldovan champions, therefore, Oppong will feel at home if he joins the club.
