The former president, Jerry John Rawlings has angrily asked Menzgold to clear his name of the ‘silly’ list going viral on social media.
Last week, a list containing the names of politicians, musicians and footballers has gone viral on social media as a list of top personalities who invested in Menzgold.
“Shouldn’t Menzgold be reacting to this silly list making the rounds on social media? I do not have a stash anywhere to waste on questionable ventures and doubt others on the list involved themselves in this mess,” Mr Rawlings tweeted.

According to the list, JJ invested ¢400, 000 in the gold dealing firm but his tweet has cleared the air.
Since the gold dealing firm shut down late last year, some Ghanaians who invested in the company have been demonstrating while others have been going to their offices to ask for updates.
The CEO of the company, Nana Appiah Mensah is currently on the run after it was revealed that he used an unapproved route to enter Togo before heading to South Africa.
However, since last night news has been going around that he has been arrested in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates but his arrest has got nothing to do with crime in Ghana.
