Joe Jackson, father of the late Pop Icon, Michael Jackson has died of cancer.
Joe, born in 1928 married his wife Katherine in 1949 and had 11 children with her.
He was the first manager of his children’s music group, The Jackson 5 before they went on to sign for Motown Records.
On June 24, “I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes” was posted on his Twitter page.
But before then, his son, Jermaine Jackson tweeted “My father’s health is not good, but ‘dying’ is a harsh word chosen by headline writers, not me. For however long he has left, my mother, siblings, and relatives want to be with him, without hindrance.”
Joe Jackson was also the grandfather of the boyband members 3T whose hit tracks include ‘I need you’ and ‘Anything’.
