Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, John Kuffour has explained how he bit his wife’s nipple.
While it has been reported in numerous media outlets that the victim is his ex-girlfriend, Kuffour in an interview with Oyerepa FM in Kumasi said she was his wife and the incident happened in 2017.
According to the former Hearts of Lions defender, the incident happened during an argument in the kitchen. His wife was wearing a nightdress and during the argument she pushed him.
Kuffour told Oyerepa FM that while he was falling down, he accidentally bit her breast lightly as he was holding her.
He added that at that time, he and his wife were having issues and they were living in an apartment she was renting.
Kuffour said he was surprised when the police came to arrest him at Obuasi on Monday but he later got to know that she told the police the incident happened this year.
He has denied biting her nipple off and has been granted a ₵50, 000 bail by the Ejisu District Court.
His wife, according to the report, is expected to undergo surgery.
