Kennedy Agyapong has finally premiered his secret filming of ace journalist Anas Amereyaw Anas bribing a state attorney at her office.
The bribe Anas gave to the prosecutor was to twist the evidence to favour a group of men who have bribed Anas.
In the video, Anas showed the prosecutor the video he has of the men and explained to her all that happened.
He also told her Baba Tunde is somehow related to him and that was how they bought him.
‘$1.9 million from where? Who did they take it from? And he started telling me how the people came here and they were working with them and how you know… so at that time, they buy me with $100, 000 because he somehow relates to me. Somehow I don’t know’, Anas said.
‘Is it the two of them?’ the state attorney asked.
Anas replied, ‘No, Baba Tunde’.
‘He now wanted to fight for himself’, Anas added.
He finally got her on his side and he assured her $5,000 will be transferred to her account when she asked how much she will be paid.
The state attorney was also heard saying ‘we all want money, we all need money’ and Anas exclaimed ‘exactly’.
Not only that, Anas told her he had already given $75, 000 to the then Director General of Criminal Investigations Department, DCOP Adu Poku on behalf of the suspects.
After the meeting, the state attorney never attended the court proceedings again and the judge had no option than to set the suspects free and they have been free since 2009.
The case which Anas was talking about involved a group of men who scammed a foreign business firm in a fake gold deal.
The men scammed them $15, 000, 000 in 2009 and they contacted Anas to do an undercover investigation to help them arrest the men.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, Anas did the investigation but because he was bribed, he decided to do the right thing and ended up bribing the state attorney who was involved in the case to set the scammers free.
Hafiz has been on TV to confirm he was the one who bribed Anas.
Egbert Faibille Jnr who was involved in the case came out to say the case was clean but Ken Agyapong who believes there was a foul play told the media after premiering the documentary that he is waiting for what Egbert Faibille ‘will say’.
At the moment we can only wait for what will happen next as Anas has already sued Kennedy Agyapong for defamation of character.
