Kente weaver arrested for robbing a provision store

A 24-year old kente weaver, Kwabena Osei has been jailed for robbing a provision store at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.

The young man, according to the residents is well known for his provision store robberies.

On March 10, Kwabena broke into the shop of Mary Oppong and stole her ¢1, 500, can drinks and other items.

Kwabena was the shop owner’s first suspect and reported him to the police and he was arrested by the police.

Kwabena pleaded guilty to robbing the shop but denied being the one who took the money.

Kwabena who is an ex-convict asked the judge to give him his sentence when he was remanded for two weeks but the judge denied him his wish.
