King Faisal FC, according to a report by Adehyee FM, will stop using Baba Yara Sports Stadium as their home ground for the second round of the season.
Faisal wanted to use Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as their home ground early in the season but the managers of the stadium told them the pitch is not ready for football games.
According to the report, the club is close to reaching an agreement with the managers of the stadium to use it as their home ground for the second round of the season.
Abrankese Sports Stadium as it was previously known was the home ground of Kessben FC now Medeama SC and was owned by business mogul Kwabena Kesse before being bought by another business mogul Dr Kwame Kyei. After selling Kessben FC, the stadium was used by Kesse’s brother, Rev Osei Bonsu for his Moment of Glory Prayer Army (MOGPA) church service.
Before Dr Kyei bought the stadium to be used as the home ground of his team, Nations FC formerly known as Bekwai Youth Academy, there were reports in the media that Kotoko were interest in buying the stadium.
