KMA to sack hawkers from the streets of Kumasi

Over the years, getting hawkers from the streets of Kumasi has become one of the most difficult tasks for KMA authorities.

Whenever authorities try to find a place for hawkers, the hawkers threaten to vote against them in the next elections.

However, the mayor of Kumasi, Osei Asibey Antwi told market women yesterday that in 2 weeks’ time all hawkers will be sent to Race Course to make the city clean.

According to him, Race Course has been made ready for the market women and now they are going to move all hawkers from the street as they going to get all hawkers off the street.

He made this known during an event yesterday in Kumasi. The event was also attended by the wife of Asantehene, Lady Julia.
