Report reaching The Post indicates that Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Sogne Yacouba have reached an agreement.
According to the report, Yacouba is likely to extend his contract with the club.
For months now there have been reports in the media that the Burkinabe striker has told the club they should sell him as he has got offers from outside Ghana.
Also, it was reported that the player is feigning an injury in other not to play for the club again.
Another report he made headlines was that Yacouba reached an agreement with South African giant, Orlando Pirates.
But last Saturday, Yacouba and the CEO of the club, George Amoako met to discuss his contract extension.
After the meeting, it was reported that Yacouba might extend his contract for a year with Kotoko as he has only a year left on his two-year contract.
Moreover, Kotoko promised to pay him the money they owe him which is GHC 30, 000, provide him with better accommodation and also increase his GHC 2,500 salary.
But most importantly, he will be sold when he gets a good offer.
The Kotoko-Yacouba saga started it was reported that the player had told the club he will not play for the club again.
A management member of the club is reported to have said Yacouba’s behaviour changed after the Al Hilal game where his number was taken by the Al Hilal management.
The player has resumed training and he is expected to feature in the remaining Normalisation Committee’s Special Cup.
The transfer window will open in June, and per the report, Yacouba has been promised he will be sold if he gets an offer he likes.
