Asante Kotoko has reportedly asked their headline sponsor, MTN Ghana to increase their sponsorship money.
MTN pays Kotoko ₵50,000 a month, thus ₵600,000 a year. However, Kotoko’s new management wants the telecommunication giant to give them ₵1,000,000 a year. This means that Kotoko wants MTN to give the club ₵ 83,333.33 a month.

MTN’s main competitor, Vodafone are reportedly ready to give Kotoko more than what MTN is giving them and it is likely that Kotoko would move to Vodafone should MTN opt out.

Kotoko and MTN are reportedly still on negotiations with an agreement yet to be reached.
