Kumasi Asante Kotoko has moved to the fourth position on the Ghana Premier League table after beating Dreams FC at Dawu.
For the third consecutive game, goalkeeper Felix Annan was benched as Kwame Baah started in his place.
Few chances were created as Kotoko dominated the game. Dreams FC’s Dentani Amadu was shown the red card in the 35th minute for a deliberate handball after he had already been given a yellow card in the 27th minute for a foul on Justice Blay.
Kotoko could not make anything out of the resulting freekick as Martin Antwi’s kick went straight into the hands of the goalkeeper.
An own goal in the 68th minute gave Kotoko the lead and the win after a Dreams player could not clear the ball from their 18-yard properly from Ibrahim Moro’s freekick.
Kotoko now lie on the 4th position with 17 points same as league leaders Aduana Stars but are being separated by goal difference.
