According to Oyerepa Radio Sports show host, Sometymer Otuo Acheampong, a current board member of Asante Kotoko is interested in becoming the Board Chairman of the club.
Sometymer made the revelation on Today’s Sport, the station’s sports show today.
The unnamed board member, he said, has told people that if the current Board Chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei decides not to continue as the board chairman of the club, he would want to become the board chairman and give the club a seed money of $2 million.
However, should Dr Kyei continue to maintain his position as the Board Chairman, he would not give the club the seed money.
The Board was given a three-year mandate by the Asantehene on June 9, 2020.
There have been reports that there is division in the board and the Board Chairman, Dr Kyei and the CEO of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah are not on good terms.
