Berekum Chelsea are threatening to end Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s 21-year old record ahead of their match on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Isaac Amponsah, the Communications Director and the Marketing Manager of the club said today on Kessben FM’s sports show that although the task ahead of them is a difficult one, they will be able to it.
Amponsah explained that Berekum Chelsea and all the other clubs in both Brong and Ahafo Region have not been able to beat Kotoko on Match Day three but he believes that they would be able to it as they have been able to beat Kotoko in Kumasi before.
Berekum Chelsea have also not won a game on match day three in the league before, however, Amponsah believes that cannot deter them from winning the game.
Adding, Amponsah stated that Accra Hearts of Oak had not lost a match on match day one since 2009 but they were able to break that record when they met on match day one.
