Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s performance in the Confederation Cup has helped Ghana to get a point in CAF’s rankings.
In the CAF rankings, countries whose clubs perform better in both the Champions League and Confederation Cup get more points to enable them get two teams to compete in both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
A country must have 30 points and must be in the top twelve before it can have two teams compete both the Champions League and Confederation Cup but due to Ghana’s poor performance in both competitions, the country now has only 9 points.
Therefore for Ghana to get back the slots it lost, Ghanaian clubs must work had to help the country get the 21 points it lost.
