Kumasi Asante Kotoko has increased their offer with the hope of convincing Maxwell Baakoh to sign a new contract with the club.
Baakoh and Kotoko have agreed on a two-year contract extension, however, the two are yet to agree on the player’s salary.
Baakoh takes home ₵2,500 a month and Kotoko initially wanted to give him ₵3,500 for his new contract. But after Baakoh rejected it, Kotoko has now increased it to ₵4,000 for the first year and then ₵4,500 in the second year of his contract.
According to the report, Baakoh still wants the club to increase the new offer.
Also, Kotoko reportedly owes him ₵25,000 which the player wants the club to pay him.
His contract ends on the 30th of his month while the player registration for the 2020/2021 season ends tomorrow, therefore, should a deal not be reached, Baakoh would have to wait till January before he can sign for a new club.
