The CEO of Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC, Fredrick ‘Fred Achi’ Acheampong has called Kotoko ‘greedy’ after Kotoko wrote to them to express their desire to sign four of their players.
Achi confirmed to Kessben FM that they have received an official letter from the Porcupine Warriors.
However, they will not sell their players to them as they are also building a team.
Achi also said he has not heard or seen a team sell four of his players to a single team at once, therefore,
Kotoko’s interest in signing four of their players means they are ‘greedy’.
The fans of Ashanti Gold, he explained, have even told them not to sell their players to Kotoko as they never benefit from it when Kotoko sells them to a different club.
However, he indicated that they can only ‘loan’ one player to them.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko after signing eleven new players before the start of their Confederation Cup campaign are interested in signing Ashanti Gold’s James Akamenko, Richard Dodji, Amos Addai and Shaffiu Mumuni.
