Twum Barima, a member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s National Circles Circuit has said he has been sidelined by the management of the club complaining about how the team recruit players.
During Kotoko matches at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Twum and his friends were at times tasked to ensure that no one enters the stadium illegally.
Twum said he and his team were able to help the club increase the money they got from gate fees due to their vigilance and hard work.
However, the management of the club, according to Twum, were not happy when they complained about how players are bought and sacked from the team.
“When we were about to start this year’s Africa (CAF Champions League), some of us complained about how we sign and sack players as it drains the club’s money,” he said in an interview played on Kessben FM.
“Because what we said did not go down well with the management, they decided not to call us on match days to guide the gate,” he added.
“Since then we have also decided that if they don’t call us” we will also not get close to the gate on match days.
