The National Circles Council (NCC) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has questioned why the management chose Accra Sports Stadium as their new home ground following the temporary closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to the report, the NCC is not happy with the venue as they were expecting the management to choose the Cape Coast Stadium or the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.
The Post understands Kotoko has been given the go-ahead by the National Sports Council to become the fifth club to use the Accra Sports Stadium as their home ground this season.
The leaders of the supporters’ group, according to the report, will meet with the management of the club ask questions about their decision.
Reports in the media indicate the management chose the venue because they believe they have enough fans in Accra to fill the stadium on match day.
However, the fans in Kumasi believe it will be difficult for them to travel to Accra every week to watch their games.
Also, the fans believe it will also not help the players as they will have to move to and fro to train in Kumasi and play their games in Accra.
