Kumasi Asante Kotoko is one point away from being declared Ghana Premier League champions after Hearts of Oak played a 1-1 draw with Karela United on Monday.
Kotoko has 59 points with an outstanding game against regional rivals, Ashanti Gold on Thursday at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
With three matches to end the season, Bechem United and Medeama both have 50 points and are placed second and third respectively while Hearts of Oak’s draw with Karela has placed them fourth on the league table with 48 points.
This means Kotoko need just a point to lift the Premier League trophy. Also, even if Kotoko their remaining matches, the trophy will still be given to them as they have better head-to-head than the second, third and fourth-placed teams.
