The Policy Analyst of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Amo “Energy” Sarpong has denied that the club is not sacking players from the Sports Hotel.
Energy said on Kessben FM that the players are rather being relocated to an apartment at Adako Jachie.
There were rumours that the club is sacking the players from the hotel because of the hotel bills, however, Energy denied those rumours saying “Dr Kwame Kyei can even say he will not let the club pay anything.”
According to the rumours, the club is currently paying about GHC 6000 as the hotel bill of a player who is earning GHC 1000.
The apartment which is close to Kotoko’s training pitch at Adako Jachie houses some of the players who have had their contracts terminated.
As a result, the players who have been staying at the Sport Hotel at Asokwa since they signed for the club will move to the apartment.
