Its another day and another Judgement debt has been awarded against Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko by the Player Status Committee.
This time the club have been ordered to make payment of the sum of GHC32,000 to their former youth team coach George Manu.
The petitioner signed a contract to coach the youth team of the club in 2019 and started work on 1st November 2019 and was entitled to a yearly enticement fee of GHC10,000.
He was to be paid a monthly salary of GH1,500 and a fuel allowance of GHC500 whiles coach of the youth team of Kotoko.
The petitioner Richard Manu told the Player Status Committee that he was yet to be paid his first and second year enticement fee amounting to GHC20,000 and was also owed salary arrears from November 2020 to April 2021 amounting to GHC9,000.
The club also owed him fuel allowance from November 2020 to April 2021 which amount to GHC3,000.
According to the release by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kotoko were given the opportunity to make an appearance before the Player Status Committee to enter defence on two occasions but they failed hence the default judgement by the Player Status Committee.
