Paa Kwasi Fabian’s resignation seems to have shock Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The club, after the receiving Paa Kwasi Fabian’s resignation, contacted Ashanti Gold Football Club and both clubs came to a conclusion to postpone their second leg friendly game which was to be played this Sunday at Obuasi.
According to the club, the resignation of Paa Kwasi and the Physical Instructor has destabilized the team as the coach resigned right after training last Thursday morning.
With five months left on his one year contract, there were rumours that the club was going to sack the coach.
According to the rumours, the club had already met with a white coach who was going to replace Paa Kwasi Fabian.
The spokesperson for the club, Sarfo Duku, yesterday told Metro FM the club were preparing to give him a new contract and they had already asked him to bring a report.
Fabian, he said, knows the consequences of resigning from the club as it is a breach of contract.
According to reports gathered by The Post, Paa Kwasi will have to pay the club ¢30, 000 if he wants to walk away.
As a result, Kotoko in a response to Paa Kwasi indicated they cannot accept his resignation until he fulfil his part of the contract.
The management of the club has indicated they will psych the players and prepare them for the game against Ashanti Gold while they look out for a new coach.
