Kumasi Asante Kotoko has terminated the contract of Cameroonian defender Koualao Dane Djomian Thomas Pelè four days after announcing his signing.
The Cameroonian joined the club on a free transfer and signed a 3-year contract.

According to reports, the club identified the Pelè during training and an MRI scan showed the extent of the injury. Opemsuo FM reports that Pelè would be out for at least a year if he undergoes surgery.
The club and the player have agreed on mutual termination of the contract.
This is the second time the club has signed and terminated a player’s contract in less than a month.
In 2019, Kotoko signed former Lobi Stars player, Adingra Bidodane Moussa on a free transfer. His contract was terminated one week later.
