Kumasi Asante Kotoko this week unveiled their new jerseys for the CAF Confederation Cup.
For some time now, the club was buying its own jerseys but thanks to the club’s formal captain, Yussif Chibsah, Kotoko has been able to sign a three-year kit deal with Strike.
Each player for the club for the next three years will get four home jerseys and two away jerseys for every season.
Also, the deal includes a cash deal, shoes, shirts, sneakers, backpack, and flip-flops and other things for the players and the technical team.
In return, Strike will sell the replica jerseys and also give Kotoko 5% of the sales.
Chibsah in an interview on Silver FM this morning said “the club will be given ¢ 50, 000 right away. ¢ 200, 000 will be given to the club if Strike is able to sell 200, 000 jerseys and also give the club 5% of the total profit the company will make.”
Comparing Strike’s deal with other kit sponsors, Chibsah said Strike has taken all the “financial risks” as other kit sponsors sell the replica jerseys to the clubs in cash while they, on the other hand, are doing the opposite.
He urged Kotoko supporters to patronize the items as the financial benefits will also be in favour of his former club.
