Kotoko to give Nana Yaw Amponsah long term contract – report

The CEO of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, according to report, will get a contract a extension at the club and it will be a long term contract.

Nana Yaw was given a three-year contract when he joined the club last year. Since he came to office, he has helped the club secure twelve sponsorships and partnerships including a deal with English Premier League side Southampton. He has also built the club’s first training complex at Adako Jachie. In July this year, he was ordered the best CEO during the Ghana Football Awards.

According to the report, some of the club’s board members believe he is the best CEO the club has had in recent years.

However, he has also faced criticisms for how they sacked former coach, Maxwell Konadu after four games last season and also how he handled the termination of the contracts of some players as the club was ordered to pay huge sums of money to the players.
